It’s great to be back here….2019 let’s get started!!! How is everyone? I’d love to hear in the comments, how were your holidays, what’s new, what’s happening??
If you follow my social media you might have seen hints about me gearing up my online courses and putting myself out there more in the positive thinking arena. I’ve been wanting to for a while but in a way, I’ve been holding myself back. The doubts and fears of how I’ll be accepted were preventing me from moving forward.
But I feel confident that this year is going to be the year for me to branch out in the ways I’ve been wanting to go. There’s so much more about positive thinking and living and my personal journey that I want to share. So do watch this space because more is definitely on its way this year.
I’m not in a panic to have things launched for January. I know it’s a month when people are looking to change and looking to be something new, but I think that January is a good month to give yourself a little break, & go easy on yourself. There are a lot of ads and pressure out there to make resolutions, to make changes, to lose weight, to be a better you and it has to start now now now.
Well just take a big breath because you are fabulous just how you are. If you choose to set some goals or changes, set realistic expectations and time frame so that you can be successful. The year is long and you have time to do it. Don’t push yourself into fast changes this month, ease into it.
Diving into big goals can lead to fast burnout and the goal tossed aside by February. Take it steady, and most importantly, be good and kind to yourself.
If you already made a sizable list of changes to make, just take another look and break them down into smaller sets of goals and don’t try to do everything at once. Don’t feel stressed or guilty if your list isn’t’ working out, it’s perfectly wonderful to take a minute and reassess and formulate achievable goals.
I’ve decided not to do my usual goal setting post this year and I’m not even looking to see what I had set for myself last year. I know I achieved the most important things because we lived a comfortable year with plenty to eat, a nice warm house, a car to take us where we want to go and health and happiness along the way.
Don’t forget what’s most important in life – the simple things that we often overlook or take for granted. Counting our blessings or thinking of things we are grateful for is a wonderful way to start the new year!
Happy New Year! I wish you all wonderful things in 2019. xx
