If you are trying to create a bucket list then you will want to find some inspiration on the best places to go at least once in your lifetime. Check out the list below to see if there are any places you haven’t discovered yet.

DisneyWorld

One of the first places on the list and probably at the top of a lot of people’s bucket lists is DisneyWorld in Orlando. There are plenty of other ‘Disneys’ to choose from but this is probably the most popular, with nearly 18 million people visiting last year alone. There is so much to do in a Disney resort, from riding the rides to meet and greets with your favourite characters. You don’t have to have children to go to Disney but it does help, they will also have a wonderful time. It is a lot of walking around though so do be aware of this and wear comfy shoes.

Bali

A trip to Bali will cause all of your senses to explode, it is a gorgeous place with sites and scenery galore. This luxurious paradise has bright green jungles, bright blue seas, and golden sunsets. You will never be bored in Bali, make sure you check out the best excursions to attend. There are so many hotels to choose from, you will need to check them out, read reviews, and see which one suits you best.

Hawaii

Did you know that Hawaii was formed from volcanoes erupting under the sea? Hawaii has beaches in every colour you can ever imagine. There are black ones, as well as green, red, yellow, and white. If this wasn’t enough for your eyes then you also have the glorious seas with their deep blue and green hues. You can take yourself out and hike up a dormant volcano or sit on a beach sipping cocktails. Whatever you like to do while you are away, you will certainly be able to do it in Hawaii.

Thailand

Thailand is a wonderful place that you should definitely visit at least once, if not twice or even three times! From the golden beaches to the fantastic buildings and tasty cuisine. You will never grow tired of exploring this beautiful place. The culture is amazing in Thailand and everyone is so nice, they are always happy to help you out should you need assistance. There are many different islands in Thailand, from a diving one to a chilled out one, there is something for all to enjoy.

United Kingdom

From London to Edinburgh and everything in between, there is something for everyone in the United Kingdom. Around this time of year you can head to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, this once started out as a bog standard fair and grew in popularity and size. If you want to go shopping then the UK has it all, from indoor shopping centres to outdoor high streets. Be aware, a lot of shops have shut down recently but there are still plenty around. You could wander around Oxford Street which has a wide selection of high-end and general shops.

New York

Shopping, shopping, shopping, New York is like nothing else in the world. The most populated city in the states, this is certainly a destination that needs to be on your bucket list. New York has over 8 million people that live in it alone, then add in the tourists that go there and you can see why nobody can ever get anywhere. In New York, you have so many things to do, from the usual touristy activities to ones that are unique and different. Take a look online and plan what you will do before you go, you don’t want to arrive and be disappointed.

Las Vegas

Las Vegas is probably one of the most unique places you will ever experience. From zip lining to shopping and concerts this is another destination where you have to see it to believe it. Las Vegas is far more than fancy casinos and showgirls. Las Vegas has the highest observation wheel in the world, where you can see this wonderful place from high up. Take in the sites and views while you are planning what to do next.

Iceland

Have you ever wanted to see the northern lights up close and personal? Iceland is the place to do this as they have guided tours and excursions to see them. Iceland is also home to a glorious geothermal spa which is thought to have natural healing properties. If you have to experience this at least once in your life, Iceland will definitely end up on your ‘places to visit again’ list. Be sure to book this before you go as it can get quite busy, especially during peak holiday times.

France

Did you recently watch the Olympics? If so then you will know a little bit about what France has to offer. You can take a trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris or maybe even a cheeky trip to the Cannes Film Festival. If you are heading to France during the Christmas period then you may be wondering what date do the Christmas markets start in Paris? There are so many markets dotted around France but Paris is a great one to visit.

Australia

Located far away on the other side of the world is a lovely place called Australia. It will take you just over 24 hours to get from London to Canberra, the capital of Australia. This journey is not for the faint-hearted as it is a long time to spend on an aeroplane. However, once you get there you will be captivated by the wonderful sites and scenery. If you venture to Sydney then you can see the outstanding opera house, even if you don’t watch the show go and get a photo of it.

China

While China should be on your bucket list to tick off another Disney destination, that is not the only reason. China has so much to offer and you really must see it all, make sure you have your camera ready. China has some tasty cuisine that you will never be bored of eating, in fact, you will miss it when you get back home. You can take a walk along the Great Wall of China, which looks and feels a bit like a dragon or mountains. The whole thing is around 20,000km long so you might not want to walk the whole of it!

New Orleans

Lastly, were you ever a fan of the vampire diaries or the originals? If so, then you will know all about the wild side of New Orleans. Their motto is let the good times roll and that tells you all you need to know about this amazing place. If you love Bourbon then this is certainly a place you want on your bucket list. It has a fantastic musical history and there is even a masked Mardi Gras masquerade that can be a lot of fun.
