I had such a lovely stay at the Radisson Blu St. Helen’s the night of the Boots Maternity & Infant Awards. Everything about my stay from the moment I arrived until the moment I left was comfortable, lovely & enjoyable.
The Radisson Blu St. Helen’s is only five minutes from the city center but it feels like another world. The hotel is set back with a stunning rose garden & fountain in the front & a gorgeous garden in the back. It’s quiet, peaceful & tranquil.

The stunning view from my balcony.
The view from my room was stunning! As you can see, the grounds around the hotel are perfectly kept. The inside of the hotel is also spotlessly clean. I stayed in the Yew Suite which has a lovely sitting room separate from the bedroom. I arrived to some lovely treats, which was such a nice touch!
The Yew Suite is gorgeous, classic & spotlessly clean. I felt like a princess arriving to such a beautiful room with an equally beautiful view!
You can have a look around my beautiful suite & see the stunning garden view from my balcony in this video below. It starts with my trip to the Boots Maternity & Infant Awards. If you want to skip ahead, footage at the Radisson Blu St. Helen’s starts at 1:26.
After settling into my beautiful suite, Jolene & I headed down to the hotel’s restaurant, Talavera for dinner & drinks. The restaurant is cosy with comfy chairs & a relaxed vibe. The food was exquisite. You can see the tasty dishes I enjoyed below. For starters, I had delicious prawns. For the main course, I thoroughly enjoyed a tender & juicy fillet steak.
While Jolene & I were two mummies out on the town without the kiddies, I’d like to note that kids dine for free with paying adults at the Radisson Blu St. Helen’s. Something I will keep in mind next time I’m travelling with the kids!
There were so many beautiful dessert options but seeing as we were full from our delicious meal, we went for liquid desserts. Jolene & I headed down to the hotel’s bar / lounge for an after-dinner drink. The ballroom lounge is so beautiful, it was my favourite place to sit in the hotel. Recently refurbished, the details, colours & charm are inviting & pull you into the hotel’s relaxed & elegant vibe.
There are beautiful flower arrangements all around the hotel like the one above at the bar. The fresh flowers add to the charm & elegance of the Radisson Blu St. Helen’s.
After a fabulous evening with Jolene in the elegant restaurant & lounge, I retired to my gorgeous suite. I had a great sleep in the quiet room. The next morning it was down for breakfast which served until 11am. There was plenty to choose from including traditional breakfast hot foods, cheeses, fruit, cereals, pastries & breads.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Radisson Blu St Helen’s. Everything was comfortable & inviting. And the staff are friendly & helpful. On my way out I asked the best way to get back to Heuston Station to catch my train home & the lovely lady at reception advised me there is a bus right across from the hotel that is direct to Heuston Station. It’d also be convenient to get into the city center & enjoy what Dublin has to offer.
