This winter has been so cold here in Ireland. We haven't had this cold of temperatures in 13 years! It's been freezing cold so staying bundled up has been super important. Little Miss has been finding her winter coat isn't cutting it. So when we were given the opportunity to try and review some coats from Lands' End we were delighted!
Since 1963 Lands' End has been pioneering the development of high-quality fashion for the whole family. They combine simple elegance and practical functions with maximum comfort - everything you could want!
I've always equated Lands' End with quality and style. Over the years I've owned a few jackets from them and have always been very happy with them, their fit, style and durability.
Choosing our Jacket & Coat
Little Miss and I each selected a coat from the Lands' End website. By the way, they have some really great sales on right now if you are in the market for a jacket or coat!
Their website is easy to navigate with lots of great products for men, women and children. Little Miss picked the Lands' End Expedition Parka so she could have the warmer coat she was after. I went with their Light Rain Jacket because I have a few winter coats that are in great condition still and I am in the need of a good rain jacket - they are essential wear in Ireland!
Our new coats came quickly and packaged so beautifully...
Kids Expedition Parka
Little Miss' Kids Expeka is so lovely and warm! We couldn't be happier with it. It has a waterproof and windproof surface, sealed seams and a cosy fleece lining with a high-quality down filling.
Some features include:
Waterproof, windproof
600 fill power down insulation
Insulated, adjustable hood
Detachable faux fur on the hood
Fleece lining in body/hood
Zipper, snap button storm flap
Two Velcro breast pockets on the outside
Concealed drawstring waist
Two dual-entry snap-flap pockets
Velcro cuffs
SnowGuard cuffs with thumb hole
Machine wash (hand wash faux fur)
Little Miss loves how warm it is! She also loves the two ways her hands can go into the pockets and the thumb holes as well. She is now as snug as a bug in a rug for these cold wintery days. There are loads more options for girls' coats on the Lands' End website for you to check out.
Light rain jacket SQUALL for women
I'm thrilled with my new Light Rain Jacket, it is a lovely generous fit with a very nice and comfortable lining. There is a soft, brushed fleece lining in the upper area, which provides more warmth than the average rain jacket.
Some features include:
Waterproof, insulated
Water-repellent upper material, sealed seams
Attached, adjustable hood
Antistatic fleece lining in the upper area, smooth lining in the lower
Two patch flap pockets with dual entry and Velcro closure
Adjustable Velcro cuffs
machine wash
Optimum warmth for cold, wet weather
2-WAY ZIPPER: able to open the jacket from the top or bottom.
I really love the waterproof protection, adjustable hood, adjustable cuffs that keep the cold and rain out, and spacious pockets to put my phone in for a walk. The colour is also really lovely! There are many more lovely women's jackets and coats you can browse on the Lands' End website.
Mother and Daughter Style
Here we are sporting our new jacket and coat from Lands' End. Mia never likes to miss a photo opportunity. LOL...
The sizing is generous, so you can stick with your usual size or go down one size if you want a slimmer fit. I'm happy w chose what we did because Little Miss will get a few winters out of her coat. And for me, I have plenty of room to layer under my rain jacket.
