I have been doing a little happy dance all week since my Jord wrist watch arrived. I absolutely adore it! I was thrilled when Jord was interested in working together on a review & giveaway but I really didn’t expect how much I’d love this watch. I knew it would be stunning but the comfort is surprising & welcoming.
Jord watches are hand-crafted wood timepieces that tell a story. They create with many different types of wood including purpleheart which has a naturally rich purple colour. I fell in love with the Cora Series purpleheart & mother of pearl wrist watch when I saw it on the Jord website. It’s unique, classy & clean cut.
After making my choice, I received a confirmation email with a UPS tracking number. I love when companies send this out right away so I can obsessively check to see how long until my package arrives. Impressively, my new watch made it over to the west of Ireland in less than a week.
I opened the shipping box to find a gorgeous timber box inside. The top slides to reveal the beautiful Cora series watch nestled inside on a pillow. It’s a luxurious & fun box to open. And the perfect way to meet my stunning new watch.
Cora series watches feature sapphire crystal glass which is second only to diamond as being the hardest & most scratch resistant material on earth. Instead of numbers, there are Swarovski crystal markers. The movement is self-winding automatic mechanical, which means the Cora series watches don’t require batteries. You can see the movement when you look at the back of the watch.
When placing an order, Jord provides easy to follow instructions on how to measure your wrist so that your watch arrives already sized & ready to wear. My watch fits perfect, not too tight & not too loose.
I hadn’t given much thought to what the watch would feel like to wear & I am blown away by how comfortable it is! My new Jord watch is so light it doesn’t feel like I am wearing a watch! It is so much lighter & more comfortable to wear than my metal watch. It looks big & chunky, which I love, but without the weight.
I have styled my new watch with my favorite rose gold accessories & my long blue & white summery dress. I’ve also worn it with my skinny jeans & black cardigan. It looks fabulous with everything.
I took Cora outside for a little photo shoot – West of Ireland style. My kids are used to me going around taking photos of things but our sheepdog, Mia is still very curious & wanted to see what all of the fuss was about. I kept snapping & really love the photos with Mia & my new Jord wrist watch together. Although, As you will see, Mia couldn’t understand why my hand wasn’t petting her the whole time.
Jord combines luxury & comfort into a stunning & unique piece. I couldn’t be happier with my new Cora watch! I’ve received so many compliments on it. I feel stylish wearing it & keep stopping to admire its gorgeous mother of pearl & Swarovski crystal face.
