One of the perks of having a blogging mom is getting to try out fun new toys! My three kiddies have been testing out some toys over the summer that we are excited to share with you.
Bop-It!
First up is a classic toy that I enjoyed as a child that has been reinvented – the Bop It! I spent hours mastering my boping skills growing up. It’s really fun to see my kids doing the same!
There are several different modes on the new & improved model. There is classic Bop It! which is a great starting place. There is a social mode so you can play in a group. The new mode calls out silly & fun movements for you to make using Bop It! The ten moves are: whip it, drink it, selfie it, hammer it, answer it, cradle it, saw it, sing it, golf it, and comb it.
The new Bop-It! is recommended for age 8 & older which I agree with. My son who just turned seven found the new mode quite challenging. You have to practice & move the Bop It! just so to have your move count. My seven-year-old enjoyed the classic Bop-It! & found that easier to use. His older brother is snapping selfies & mastering the new moves with ease. That is when I’m not playing it myself! I think Bop-It! is just as fun for parents as for kids.
My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Sugarcube Corner
Another childhood favorite of mine was My Little Pony. I had a huge collection of them! My three-year-old daughter thoroughly enjoys this lovely little set. MLP Friendship is Magic Sugarcube Corner is a little sweet shop set for a pony party. The set comes with two little ponies, a cake & other little accessories that little hands will love to play with.
The pieces in the set are quite small. We set them up on a table to play & store the set in a bag to avoid losing the pieces, which has worked great.
Play-Doh Town 3-in-1 Town Centre
Another childhood favorite of mine is Play-Doh. There are so many ways to create & enjoy playing with Play-Doh. My kids always enjoy taking out our bag of Play-Doh so they were delighted to try the new Play-Doh Town range. The 3-in-1 Town Centre comes in a huge box which is full of Play-Doh fun.
Everything you see pictured comes in the box so there are a lot of ways to play with this set. There are plenty of pieces to keep my three kiddies happy playing for hours. We set up Play-Doh or any crafts at the kitchen table where the play is contained for tidy up purposes it’s much easier that way.
The set includes a restaurant, florist & mechanic shop. The characters hats come off which allows you to make them a new hat or hair from Play-Doh. There is a fun stamper to make a pizza right at the table of the restaurant & flower pots to fill with flowers. There are lots of fun ways to play with this set.
All three of our kids aged 3, 7 & 9 love playing with the Play-Doh town set. The addition of people & cars makes Play-Doh all the more exciting & creative.
Transformers: Robots in Disguise Power Surge Optimus Prime and Aerobolt
The next toy is a new one for me, something I didn’t have as a child – a transformer. This transformer changes from Optimus Prime into a truck. A small Aerobolt figure is also included in the box. The transformer is 11″ tall & has lots of sounds & battle modes. It features pop-out cannons, wings, phrases & sounds which are activated by attaching the Aerobolt figure.
The boys love playing with their new transformer. He has so many different sounds & ways he can move. They have used him many different games. Our daughter has taken a liking to Aerobolt & likes joining in with the transformer games too.
With birthdays popping up & Christmas around the corner, it’s nice to have a few toys that I know my kids enjoyed & others will too.
Disclosure: We were sent these toys for review purposes. If we don’t enjoy a toy or product, I don’t share it on my blog or social media. I only share items my kids thoroughly enjoy with you.
