There's more to New York than the Big Apple! Upstate New York has an identity of its own, away from the crowds and in the midst of some of the most beautiful views and experiences you'll ever find.
You might not know that I am from upstate New York myself! We have enjoyed many of these great attractions that I am going to share with you today.
If you're in New York and are at a loss of what to do outside of city limits: here are some of the most entertaining finds upstate.

Started in 1969, this inventive and interactive museum plays with the idea of an exhibit and what could be a game. Although it began as one woman's collection, it's now grown to house thousands of pieces. Many who visit say they'd love to come back time and time again and that it's a top pick for fun and entertainment.
The Wild Center

Formerly known as the Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks, this exhibit works hard to blur the lines between the natural world and achievable through human ingenuity and creativity. Unfortunately, many who are new to the area overlook it: but you shouldn't! This is a hands-on center where you can directly interact with nature and get to know the area's history. This is a perfect place to visit for young people and families.

People have been using glass for over 2500 years, so this museum was just a matter of time until it was created. Although many may not see the importance of a museum about glass, this museum is transparent in how vital this material has been to furthering humankind.
Glass makes up so much of our daily lives, from light bulbs to phone screens. The Corning Museum of Glass will walk you through how we arrived at where we did today.

This great American pastime is one that few could ignore. Yet, the history of baseball tangles with human rights shows off a lot of spirit and exemplifies the creativity of the American people. This hall of fame shows off the best of the best and will inspire anyone into a renewed interest in the sport.
New York State Museum

Located in the state's capital, the New York State Museum is a beautiful mixture of art and history that will untangle the lives that have been lived in this state. Although New York has one of the longest and most complicated countries, many people don't know much about it.
This museum has countless rotating exhibits, which means if you want to see everything, you'll have to look at Albany houses for sale so that you can come back time and time again. Every exhibit is well thought out and creative, and you won’t want to leave!
