During our weekend away in Galway over Easter holidays, we had a fun & tasty dinner at The Dáil Bar. The Dáil Bar is located on Middle Street, right in the heart of Galway city.

The vibe inside is relaxed, upbeat & fun. The tables are placed in nooks & crannies over two stories which create an intimate feeling. There was a gorgeous chandelier hanging near our table & a warm & welcoming fire nearby. I really enjoyed the atmosphere at The Dáil Bar.

The Dáil Bar has extensive wine & cocktail menus & they have won a cocktail making championship. I imagine it’d be a really fun venue for a night out with friends. Luckily, having the kids along didn’t stop us from having a cocktail. I had their signature strawberry daiquiri (on the left) which was gorgeous!!

The Dáil food menu provides lots of delicious options with plenty of variety to choose from. They have traditional pub grub, hearty meals & also a variety of wraps, sandwiches & lighter bites. We were in for 6pm which is when the kids are hungry. There were a few other tables of families in at that time along with couples & friends. By the time we left, the pub was busy with a lively atmosphere.
For dinner, I had the Galway Hooker beer battered fish & chips, which was delicious. I ate it all up! I had the chocolate brownie for dessert which was also very nice. My husband had the roast of the day which was ham & banoffi pie for dessert which was light & yummy.

The kids menu has a choice of the roast of the day, sausages, pasta, & chicken goujons. They were very accommodating when we asked for mashed potato instead of chips. The boys had lovely roast dinners but I wasn’t fast enough to get a photo before they started eating. All of the kids’ plates were cleared & they enjoyed a selection of ice creams for dessert.

I sent a few tweets of my yummy cocktail & dinner during our meal. The Dáil Bar is fast & fun to chat with on Twitter. And, some of their regular customers joined in the Twitter chat too. There are a lot of fans out there who also enjoy the atmosphere, cocktails & traditional meals at The Dáil Bar as much as we did.
