We are recently back from 8 days & 8 nights of travel along the beautiful south coast of Ireland. We began our trip in West Cork in the lovely town of Drimoleague. From there we headed east to the Radisson Blu Hotel, Cork. The hotel is conveniently located just outside Cork City.
For two nights we enjoyed adjoining family rooms, free wifi, a lovely pool and tasty food at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Cork.
Adjoining Rooms
We had adjoining rooms at the Radisson Blu. The kids’ room had a double bed, a single bed & their own bathroom. Our room had a king-size bed and bathroom. Being able to put the kids to bed and close the adjoining door was a big plus!
It was also a big plus to have two bathrooms for 5 people. The kids were amazed by how a square inside the mirror didn’t fog up with a shower, I appreciated that feature too!
Dining at Radisson Blu Cork
Kids eat free! It’s an amazing offer at Radisson Blu hotels – that kids eat for free with an adult who is staying at the hotel & eating in the restaurant. We have 3 kids & they all ate for free!
There are a lot of options on the kids menu. Each child gets to choose a main course & two side dishes. Plus they get dessert. Ours went for the ice cream sundaes that you get to make yourself! The value for money was amazing so we had dinner at the hotel both nights of our stay.
Banks Bar played the soccer matches which our boys were really excited about. It was nice to sit & relax after the meal while they watched soccer.
Breakfast buffet. Breakfast came with our room. The buffet was huge with so many choices from cereals, fruits, hot foods, cheeses & pastries. The kids love a buffet! It’s great for everyone to get what they’d like to eat & as much as they’d like of it.
The dinners & breakfasts were lovely, hot & well made.
Outside dining. For those unique & wonderful sunny days in Ireland, the Raddison Blu Cork has a lovely outdoor space with tables & chairs. We enjoyed soaking up the sun with a drink before dinner.
Our Stay
We really enjoyed our stay at Radisson Blu Hotel, Cork. There is free wifi throughout the hotel & rooms which was really great for all of us to be able to use our devices.
The pool was fantastic. There are a lot of separate spaces within the pool with different bubbles that could be turned on. And also water spouts that shot water down. The kids had a great time splashing around the pool. The bubbles were like a relaxing day at the spa for me. So we all loved the pool – two thumbs up all around.
Here is a short video of our experience – you can see our adjoining family room, our dinner & the breakfast buffet too!

Location
The Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Cork is located just east of Cork City. The hotel’s location is great for exploring outside Cork city! It was only a short drive to Fota Wildlife Park & the stunning coastal town of Cobh. It was also a short drive to the Jameson distillery in Midleton among other lovely coastal attractions.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Radisson Blu, Cork. The staff were courteous, our room was quiet & they have a great pool. The adjoining rooms were fantastic for family travel as was their offer of kids eating for free in the hotel restaurant.
