It is always hard to accept that the summer is coming to an end. You no longer get to enjoy lazy days by the pool relaxing in the sun. However, just because the days are getting shorter and colder does not mean that the fun has to stop!
The leaves turn pretty colours, the smell of pumpkin and spice is in the air, and cosy clothes are back in style! There is a lot to love about the fall, and here are some fun things you can do to have fun through the season:
1. Go for a Picnic
Nature has always been therapeutic in whichever form it is used to relax. Fill up a basket and pull out a blanket to enjoy a picnic under the beautiful orange and yellow leaves. You won’t wear your light clothes during the fall and go out into the cold like you would during summer. You can wear your cosy sweater, jeans and a pair of nice boots.
Don’t forget to carry some fall foodstuffs like pumpkin soup or apples in your picnic basket. Bring your friends and family to make it more fun or enjoy yourself outside.
2. Get Out of the House
As we said, nature has its therapeutic way of relaxing your mind. Luckily, there are many things you can enjoy doing outside. A lot of these activities shouldn’t even be straining. All they need to do is get you out of the house and look at the beautiful nature surrounding you to calm you down. Additionally, don’t forget to get yourself a pair of PillowSlides shoes to help you move around comfortably.
You can try:
● Walking- stroll around the park
● Sitting in a serene park
● Relaxing in your backyard
● Meditating from outside in a relaxed environment
● Camping
3. Play Some Games
It’s time to get back to your childhood days. As the famous saying goes, “all work without play makes jack a dull boy.” Adult life can get into you, and you’ll get lost in making money or trying to make ends meet and forget the simple things that added fun to your life without much effort. For example, you can play a simple game of cards, a board game, Solitaire Bliss or outdoor backyard games.
These games will get your mind off the phone and life stresses for a while. They may last an hour or two, but the impact they make on you is worth it.
4. Pumpkin and Apple Picking
Going to a pumpkin patch or an apple orchard is a classic fall time activity, perfect for young adults and families alike. From September to November, many pumpkin patches become Fall Activity Parks, complete with hayrides, corn mazes, and some even have a petting zoo. Take the day to get out of the city and enjoy the fruits and vegetables of the season.
5. Take Up Writing
If you’re able to write down everything you feel inside you, it would certainly help clear all the anxiety or ill feelings you have inside you. Be sincere about what you think and write down everything as you feel it. You don’t have to write everything correctly, but the idea is to express yourself. If you enjoy writing fictional stories or poems to clear your mind, this would be the right time to write it all down plainly.
6. Set up A Bonfire
Again, this doesn’t have to be an expensive affair. You can set it up in your home backyard in the company of your family or friends. A bonfire is never enjoyable while sitting alone around it. Imagine being the host and inviting your friends over as you grill some meat and hold conversations that can last all night. You also could add some soft drinks and play some games to add some fun and life to it. Indeed, by the following morning, you will be feeling fresh and full of life.
Just because you love the summer doesn’t mean the fall has to be boring. If you want to have fun, all you have to do is have an open mind to adventure, and you will have fun at the simplest of things.
