During my recent stay at the Galway Bay Hotel, I had the pleasure of dining at the hotel’s Lobster Pot Restaurant. Like the rest of the hotel, the restaurant is elegant, lively & had a fabulous view of Galway Bay. The multi-award winning restaurant uses only the finest local ingredients & fresh produce. The restaurant is large, but it has the tables & dividers set up in a way that you feel like you are in your own corner of the restaurant. And, there is enough staff to keep everything running perfectly.

A tank of fresh lobsters greets you as you enter the Lobster Pot Restaurant (appropriately named). The lobsters feature on the menu. It was so hard to choose what I wanted to order because everything on the menu sounded gorgeous.

I decided to try their seafood chowder for starters. The chowder was chock full of delicious seafood, fish & vegetables. It wasn’t overly creamy, which is how I prefer chowder. I enjoyed every spoonful.

I was between so many of the delicious main courses, but I can’t help myself – I love chicken. It’s my favorite dish to order out so I went with this beautifully presented chicken dinner. The Lobster Pot also has steak, seafood, fish & vegetarian options. The chicken was succulent & the flavours went together so well.

For dessert, I ordered their divine creme brulee & a cup of decaf tea. The rhubarb & plain biscuit went so well with the creamy & sweet creme brulee.

My server was very attentive & knowledgeable about which wine would go nicely with my dinner. The Lobster Pot restaurant has a great vibe. The staff are all upbeat & friendly. The food was divine & each course was beautifully presented. I’d highly recommend eating in the Lobster Pot next time you are in Galway.
